Marshall is a highly-celebrated composer, producer, multi-instrumentalist, vocalist, and live performer.  A Minneapolis-native, his abilities were recognized early–he was signed to a label, wrote for and produced the Commodores, and was featured on recordings with Prince playing bass and keys.  Marshall is currently in his 15th year of touring globally, having now performed to well over 1 million adoring fans as frontman and founder of the greatest Prince tribute show in the world, defined by 100% live performance and musicianship. 

In 2020, Marshall created his one-man show, The Purple Piano, which has been so enthusiastically-received that it landed him a full-time residency in Las Vegas, and now provides a national stage for Marshall’s jazzy piano interpretations of Prince’s smash hits, as well as his original compositions.

On the heels of a “Top 100 Smooth Jazz Album” of 2020, he is delighted to announce the release of his latest album, Next.  The album debut is smooth jazz gold single, “X-centric”, featuring esteemed saxophone superstar, Gerald Albright.   click here for full bio.
